Raising Hope can only meet the needs of the foster children with the help and support of the community. We have received overwhelming support to date, but as the children’s needs increase so do our need for support. There are many ways to help:
Monetary Contributions: This is always a great way to support Raising Hope, Inc. and allows us to purchase exactly what items are needed for the children at specific times.
Clothing: New and good quality used clothing is always needed. We accept only laundered, stain free, and folded clothing. Shoes, socks and underwear are items that must be purchased new. These move very quickly off our shelves in all sizes so we are always in need. Raising Hope supports ages newborn thru 18.
Baby Items and Toiletries: Toiletries, such as shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes, and baby items such as diapers, bottles, wipes, and formula are always needed. These are great items to keep in mind when shopping!
School Supplies: This is an item that is always last on the list for many of these children, and yet such an important one. If you can help out with basic supplies, let us know.
Volunteer and Sponsorship Opportunities: Volunteers are always needed to sort, size and fold clothing at both our Dunedin office as well as the Resource Room. Consider sponsoring a clothing, underwear and sock, or toiletry drive at your school, office, church, or civic group. If you own a business, consider hosting a ‘Jeans Day’ and allow your employees to wear jeans for the day in exchange for a monetary donation to Raising Hope.
