Also for the fourth year, Raising Hope, with the help of our community, provided Christmas for 125 foster children. Participants purchased at least one outfit and a least one new toy or other item on the child’s wish list. Many participants went above and beyond and bought several items off of the child’s wish list. While to some this may seem overindulgent, the items given by the participants in our Christmas project are the only presents most of these children receive for Christmas. Everyone that has participated in our Christmas Project over the past four years has found it to be a very worthwhile and rewarding experience and they look forward to shopping for ‘their’ foster child the following year.
